BIM Coordinator Structural/Civil

About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a BIM Coordinator Structural/Civil to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires over 10 years of experience and focuses on ensuring the quality and coordination of Structural/Civil BIM models within luxury project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct technical reviews and quality assurance for Structural/Civil BIM models, verifying compliance with client Exchange Information Requirements (EIR) and project BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
• Validate Structural/Civil asset metadata, equipment parameter completeness, and Level of Information Need (LOIN) for Asset Management handovers (AIM).
• Track and document design/modeling progress of Structural/Civil supply chain parties, escalating non-compliance or data gaps to the PMC BIM Manager.
• Ensure Structural/Civil models align with luxury design standards, integrating high-end materials, finishes, and bespoke elements.
• Collaborate with architectural and MEP BIM specialists to achieve a fully coordinated building model that meets luxury project specifications.
• Facilitate coordination between architecture, structure, MEP, civil, and interior design teams to harmonize all building elements.
• Lead multi-party BIM coordination workshops, driving accountability among Structural/Civil design consultants and contractors to resolve spatial and asset interfaces.
• Attend regular coordination meetings with stakeholders to review design progress and resolve model conflicts.
• Conduct clash detection using Navisworks or similar software, identifying and resolving conflicts between various building systems.
• Implement BIM quality control procedures to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of building models.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with BIM execution plans and industry standards (*, ISO 19650).
• Identify potential design risks or constructability issues early in the project lifecycle, particularly for luxury-specific design features.
• Provide training and technical support to project teams on BIM processes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Proficiency and direct experience reviewing, navigating, and auditing models within specified BIM toolsets.

Technical Tool Ecosystem Proficiency

Candidates must demonstrate strong proficiency in the following software:

• Structural/Civil & Buildings Modeling and Coordination: Autodesk Revit (Advanced Structural/Civil modeling, systems allocation, and lookup tables), Navisworks Manage.
• Infrastructure Utilities: Autodesk Civil 3D (mandatory), Bentley OpenRoads (for reviewing wet/dry infrastructure interfaces).
• Review & Clash Detection: Autodesk Navisworks Manage (Advanced use of Clash Detective, Search Sets, and Appearance Profiler) and/or Solibri Model Checker.
• Collaboration & Issue Tracking: ACC/Forma Model Coordination, Revizto, BIMtrack, or similar collaboration tools.
