About the Capital Management Manager Role at SAB

SAB is seeking a Capital Management Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to ensuring the bank's compliance with Basel III reforms and optimizing its regulatory risk management frameworks. The role requires a professional with expertise in financial risk management and advanced SAS system implementation.

Key Focus Areas and System Implementation

The Capital Management Manager will primarily focus on the end-to-end implementation of new Basel III reform rules within SAS reporting across all phases (1-3). This involves significant engagement with SAS systems for regulatory risk management and asset and liability management, ensuring robust data processes and compliance. The role also acts as a subject matter expert and a key point of contact for project teams and stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure end-to-end implementation of new Basel III reform rules in SAS reporting for Phase 1-3.
• Manage data template mapping into Teradata.
• Provide Basel SME support to project teams.
• Update senior stakeholders, including the BSC, on project progress frequently.
• Act as the focal point for problem-solving and the main point of escalation with SAS management.
• Ensure reports generated in SAS comply with Basel III reforms.
• Lead end-to-end involvement in the process of implementing new SAS systems for SAS Regulatory Risk Management and SAS Asset and Liability Management.
• Manage project lifecycle activities from concept to implementation, facilitating tracking, coordinating, and reporting to meet business deadlines and comply with IT governance policies.
• Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement SAS solutions.
• Lead ongoing reviews of business process gaps and conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
• Perform requirements analysis and document all business findings.
• Work closely with vendor IT, project managers, and managerial staff.
• Perform user acceptance testing, manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance.
• Update, implement, and maintain procedures.
• Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats.
• Construct workflow charts and diagrams, study system capabilities, and write specifications.
• Prepare test plans to ensure complete system functionality is tested and ensure process notes and DIMs are completed.

Qualifications and Professional Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or another related field.
• Demonstrated experience in Basel III regulatory reporting and financial risk management.

Required Technical Skills and Knowledge

• Hands-on experience with SAS for regulatory risk management, ALM, and data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Basel III requirements.
• Proficiency in SAS reporting and Teradata.
• Understanding of regulatory data processes.
