About the Role

Protiviti Middle East Member Firm is seeking an experienced professional for an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) role in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a contractual position with an initial duration of 6 months to 1 year. The role requires a strong background in financial risk management within a regulatory context.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive Pillar 2 capital plans, ensuring alignment with SAMA regulatory expectations, business growth strategies, and economic capital models.
  • Oversee robust IFRS 9 Expected Credit Loss (ECL) modeling, including multi-scenario macroeconomic forecasting, staging criteria, and qualitative overlay adjustments for diverse credit portfolios.
  • Formulate, cascade, and continuously monitor Risk Appetite Statements (RAS), risk limits, and tolerance thresholds across various business units and legal entities.
  • Design severe yet plausible macroeconomic and idiosyncratic scenarios for advanced stress testing methodologies to evaluate impacts on capital adequacy, profitability, and asset quality.
  • Develop actionable recovery options, stress indicator triggers, operational continuity playbooks, and comprehensive recovery plans that meet regulatory standards for Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP).
  • Apply deep practical knowledge of Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) guidelines, circulars, Basel III standards, and prudential reporting requirements.
  • Interface effectively with executive management, the Board Risk Committee, internal and external auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Supervise complex risk data pipelines, model validation processes, and Risk-Weighted Asset (RWA) optimization initiatives.
  • Bridge stress testing and ICAAP outcomes with balance sheet metrics such as LCR, NSFR, and leverage ratios for holistic risk management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM).
  • Demonstrated expertise in ICAAP, IFRS 9 ECL, Risk Appetite Frameworks, and stress testing.
  • Strong understanding of SAMA regulations and Basel III standards.
