The Role of Captain in Riyadh

We are seeking a dedicated Captain to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is central to upholding The Ritz-Carlton's Gold Standards, ensuring that every guest receives gracious and thoughtful service. The Captain plays a key role in the daily delivery of excellence in guest care and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate service needs effectively to chefs and stewards during functions.
  • Calculate total charges for group functions and present checks to group contacts for payment.
  • Ensure banquet rooms, restaurants, and coffee break areas are prepared for service.
  • Verify that proper centerpieces are displayed on all tables.
  • Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver prior to use.
  • Engage with guests to ensure their satisfaction throughout their experience.
  • Set tables accurately according to the specific event type and service standards.
  • Relay additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of work areas consistently throughout the day.
  • Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management; and complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards.
  • Communicate with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support the team in achieving common goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
  • Ensure adherence to established quality expectations and standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or *** equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of related work experience.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Workplace Expectations

  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
