About the Role

Al-Enjaz Company is seeking a Civil Technical Office Engineer to manage and coordinate all technical and engineering tasks within the project's technical office. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves ensuring all work adheres to approved specifications and requirements. The role requires 5-10 years of experience in the contracting and infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quantity Surveying and Payment Certificates: Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs for executed and remaining works, ensuring alignment with drawings and Bills of Quantities (BOQ). Prepare and follow up on interim and final payment certificates (IPCs), verifying them against actual site progress for approval by the consultant. Audit and verify subcontractor payment certificates against completed works.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Implement and monitor compliance with municipal codes, standards, and specifications for projects (*, roads, storm drainage, infrastructure, asphalt, lighting). Prepare, maintain, and update technical records, handover minutes, and inspection requests (RFI/WIR) as per municipal supervision requirements. Analyze change orders/variations and technical/financial claims, and quantify resulting differences.
  • Drawings and Technical Studies: Review and verify design drawings, and prepare and approve shop drawings and as-built drawings. Coordinate technical aspects across different disciplines and resolve any clashes in drawings before field execution. Review and approve material submittals, ensuring compliance with contract specifications.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical office role within contracting companies, with proven experience in municipal projects (roads, storm drainage, infrastructure).
  • Professional Accreditation: Valid registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in design and quantity surveying software: AutoCAD, Civil 3D.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, quantity tables, payment certificates).
  • Familiarity with project management and advanced quantity calculation software (Revit/Navisworks is a plus).

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within the contracting and infrastructure sector, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves direct coordination with consultants and municipal representatives.
