The Opportunity: Civil/Finish Inspector (Architecture)

KEO International Consultants is seeking a Civil/Finish Inspector (Architecture) to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves maintaining communication with client site engineers on project-related issues and ensuring the implementation of contract drawings and specifications on site. The role requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor civil, architectural, and finishing works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and KEO standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify the quality, workmanship, and progress of architectural and civil works.
• Inspect architectural finishes including flooring, tiling, wall finishes, ceilings, painting, plastering, joinery, doors, windows, and waterproofing.
• Monitor civil works such as blockwork, plastering, screed, waterproofing, and concrete-related works.
• Review approved shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and inspection and test plans.
• Ensure construction activities adhere to approved drawings, specifications, approved materials, and applicable standards.
• Identify defects, non-conformances, and workmanship issues, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed out.
• Witness inspections and testing activities in accordance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other disciplines to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Review and comment on RFIs, shop drawings, and material submissions.
• Monitor the quality and progress of civil and architectural finishing works, reporting concerns to the project team.
• Ensure proper coordination between architectural finishes, civil, structural, MEP, and other building services.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, observations, non-conformances, and site activities.
• Participate in site meetings, inspections, snagging, rectification, and handover activities.
• Inspect completed works during snagging and handover to ensure all outstanding works and defects are addressed.
• Ensure works comply with applicable Saudi Arabian regulations, project specifications, approved drawings, and relevant international standards.
• Support the project team in maintaining required quality standards throughout the construction process.
• Ensure compliance with project health, safety, and environmental requirements during site activities.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in a similar role, such as Civil Inspector, Finishing Inspector, Architectural Inspector, Civil/Architectural Inspector, Architectural Finishes Inspector, Finishing Engineer, Civil & Finishing Inspector, Architectural Inspector – Finishes, or QA/QC Inspector – Civil & Architectural. Experience with residential developments, villas, apartment buildings, community facilities, hospitality, or large mixed-use developments, particularly within Saudi Arabia, is preferred.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
