About the Role

Boston Consulting Group is seeking a Commercial Director to join its regional team in Riyadh. This is a senior commercial role focused on providing support to Client Coordinating Officers (CCOs), Managing Director & Partners (MDPs), and Partners. The primary responsibility involves setting up and negotiating frame contracts and large, complex deals for key clients across the Europe, Middle East, Africa, and South America (EMESA) region, with a particular focus on the Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

• Support commercial negotiations for frame contracts and large/complex deals, including Value-Based Pricing (VBP) projects, ensuring strong setup of commercial and legal terms.
• Conduct price analysis and review key contracts and frame agreements within the region.
• Track negotiation status and maintain a summary view of final terms.
• Coordinate the implementation of negotiated contracts with legal and finance teams.
• Build commercial negotiation knowledge and capabilities in contracting, project setup, negotiation, pricing, and risk management.
• Proactively share developed commercial negotiation knowledge with internal stakeholders to enhance their commercial skills.
• Support the development of pricing tools and templates for designing rate cards and volume discount schedules to ensure consistent application of internal guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial arrangements, with strong commercial acumen and sound business judgment.
• Proven ability to manage commercial contingencies and risks and develop compelling arguments that position value effectively.
• Experience operating independently in complex, ambiguous, and fast-paced environments, exercising sound judgment and initiative while managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to work closely and effectively with senior-level partners in a collaborative manner.
• Experience teaming successfully within a complex matrix-structured organization spanning multiple cultures.
• Proven ability to develop and progress in a fast-paced, global, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment.
• Flexibility to travel up to approximately 20%.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Riyadh and reports to the EMESA Business Development Executive Director as part of the EMESA Business Development Team. The role involves strong interaction with other members of the Business Development / Client Team Function at global, regional, and local levels. Day-to-day responsibilities include close collaboration with BCG's Finance, Legal, and Risk teams, as well as the Global Revenue Management network.
