The Role of Compliance Officer

Hala is seeking a Compliance Officer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the implementation and monitoring of Hala's compliance framework, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, assisting in risk identification, and fostering a culture of compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of an effective compliance program.
• Assist in reviewing and updating company policies and procedures to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Provide guidance to employees on basic compliance requirements and company policies.
• Support the execution of action plans related to audit findings and compliance issues.
• Review company processes, documents, and practices to identify potential risks or gaps.
• Conduct site visits and sample reviews as part of compliance monitoring activities.
• Prepare compliance review reports and document findings.
• Assist in assessing compliance risks across business operations.
• Support employee awareness by ensuring understanding of policies, regulations, and procedures.
• Respond to employee queries related to compliance matters.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and support their implementation.
• Assist in reviewing new products and services from a compliance perspective.
• Support coordination and response to regulatory requests, including those from SAMA.
• Participate in regulatory inspections and visits, as required.
• Maintain proper records and documentation, and escalate non-compliance issues when identified.
• Assist in updating the Compliance Risk Register.
• Support preparation of SAMA periodic regulatory reports.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess 2-5 years of experience in a compliance-related role, preferably within the financial services or fintech industry. A strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks is essential for success in this position.
