CONSULTANT ADULT EPILEPSY

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH) in Riyadh is seeking a Consultant, Adult Epilepsy. This full-time position involves the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions within the field of Adult Epilepsy, ensuring the provision of high-quality medical care in accordance with established medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and hospital policies and procedures. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in all aspects of Adult Epilepsy, adhering to approved clinical privileges.
• Offer consultation services (inpatient and emergency room) upon request, responding promptly within prescribed timeframes as outlined in hospital policy.
• Ensure timely completion, accuracy, and eligibility of medical records.
• Provide on-call service, ensuring availability and response within the prescribed timeframe in accordance with hospital policy.
• Conduct daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge and ensure discharge orders are written 24 hours prior to discharge.
• Perform other clinical responsibilities related to Adult Epilepsy as assigned.

Training and Development

• Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows as assigned.
• Participate in the Department’s educational activities and training programs.
• Partake in national and international medical conferences to maintain and enhance professional knowledge and continuing education requirements.
• Participate in self-and others’ education, training, and development as applicable.

Research and Administrative Duties

• Participate in clinical, basic, and translational research projects in accordance with Research Advisory Council Policy to advance knowledge, improve postgraduate education, and contribute to the Hospital's national and international recognition.
• Undertake administrative duties assigned by the Head of Section or Chairman.
• Participate in all mandatory departmental activities and serve on Departmental and Hospital committees and other administrative functions as required.
• Assist the department in developing and implementing techniques and practices that maximize resource utilization within the department and across the Hospital.

Compliance and Professional Standards

• Abide by current Hospital and medical staff bylaws, all relevant rules, regulations, and policies, and stay updated on any changes.
• Follow all Hospital-related policies and procedures.

Experience and Work Environment
