About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Consultant in Endocrinology to provide comprehensive medical care to adult patients. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires 0-1 years of experience. The role involves delivering expert clinical care in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of endocrine conditions, encompassing both physical and telemedicine settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and accurate diagnoses of endocrine disorders, including detailed patient histories and physical examinations.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as blood tests, imaging studies (ultrasound, MRI), and other endocrine function tests, collaborating with laboratory staff for interpretation.
  • Perform comprehensive telehealth consultations for internal and general medicine complaints.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide ongoing patient education for conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, and metabolic syndromes.
  • Oversee ongoing care for chronic and acute conditions, adjusting treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
  • Practice population health management by identifying and addressing community health issues, implementing preventive measures, and promoting health education.
  • Document findings and treatment plans meticulously in patient records.

Clinical Quality and Safety

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality and safe clinical care, adhering to established clinical guidelines and best practices in endocrinology.
  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, including audits and peer reviews, to assess clinical practices.
  • Implement safety protocols to minimize risks and complications associated with endocrine treatments.
  • Maintain compliance with all patient safety standards and report any patient safety risks or issues to the appropriate department.

Collaboration and Patient Satisfaction

  • Foster effective collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including primary care physicians, specialists, and nurses.
  • Engage in regular case discussions and attend departmental meetings to contribute to the development of clinical pathways and treatment protocols.
  • Facilitate referrals to and from other specialties based on patient needs and complex cases.
  • Ensure satisfactory patient consultations through clear communication, comprehensive history taking, empathy, and thorough explanation of diagnoses and management plans.

Professional Development

  • Commit to ongoing professional development and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Participate in continuing medical education (CME) activities, workshops, and conferences.
  • Stay updated on advancements in endocrinology practices and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and institutional policies.
