About the Role
Mouawad is seeking a Country Manager to lead its operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing two boutiques and a support-office team of approximately 20 FTEs. The Country Manager will ensure Mouawad’s luxury standards are maintained, drive client and talent acquisition, and align local execution with the vision and goals set by the Dubai Headquarters. The position requires a leader with over 10 years of experience in international luxury Maisons.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business plans aligned with corporate objectives and Dubai HQ vision.
- Oversee expansion projects, including identifying new boutique and office locations.
- Translate the evolving KSA luxury landscape, including growth driven by Vision 2030, into a clear market strategy and multi-year expansion roadmap.
- Benchmark Mouawad’s positioning and performance against international luxury Maisons in the Kingdom.
- Act as the brand ambassador, building relationships with key clients and VVIPs.
- Drive client acquisition strategies and deliver a client experience meeting international luxury benchmarks.
- Build a structured clienteling program with disciplined CRM use and clear client ownership.
- Plan and host high-impact private events and clienteling initiatives in partnership with Marketing.
- Recruit, train, and retain top talent, building a high-performing team in line with Saudization requirements.
- Monitor boutique and office operations, maintaining profitability targets and preparing performance reports.
- Assess current KSA processes against Group and international luxury standards and lead an improvement roadmap.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local regulations, including labor, commercial licensing, VAT, data protection, and anti-money laundering obligations.
- Maintain continuous communication with Dubai Headquarters on vision, strategy, and execution.
- Share structured market and client insights with HQ to inform assortment, collection planning, and pricing strategy for the KSA market.
Operational Management and Process Excellence
A core mandate of this role is to elevate processes, governance, and ways of working across the KSA operation. This includes building a structured, scalable, and compliant platform that delivers a consistent Mouawad client experience and supports future growth. The Country Manager will introduce a disciplined performance rhythm of KPIs, dashboards, and regular business reviews covering sales, conversion, client acquisition and retention, stock accuracy, and service quality. Regular boutique audits will be conducted to ensure service standards, visual merchandising, security, and compliance are met, with tracked action plans to close any identified gaps.
Talent Leadership and Development
The Country Manager is responsible for motivating the team, conducting performance assessments, and implementing development plans. This includes actively developing Saudi talent and establishing succession plans for key roles to meet Saudization (Nitaqat) requirements. The role involves embedding Mouawad’s service culture through structured onboarding, ongoing product and gemology training, and regular coaching on luxury selling and service rituals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven track record of over 10 years in international luxury Maisons.
- Experience in leading operations, overseeing multiple locations, and managing a significant team.
- Demonstrated ability to uphold luxury standards and drive client and talent acquisition.
- Strong understanding of the luxury market landscape in Saudi Arabia, including Vision 2030 initiatives.
- Experience in developing and executing strategic business plans and expansion roadmaps.
- Proficiency in implementing structured clienteling programs and utilizing CRM systems.
- Knowledge of local regulations, including labor, commercial licensing, VAT, and data protection.
