Role Overview

Aramex is seeking a Courier Products Controller to manage all financial processes related to Express, Domestic, and Shop and Ship products. This full-time role is critical for ensuring accurate revenue recognition, effective cost management, and robust margin control. The Controller will also lead forecasting and budgeting activities, ensuring that freight and logistics performance aligns with financial targets and operational KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition in compliance with corporate and accounting standards.
• Validate accruals, billing accuracy, and identify revenue leakages, coordinating with operations and commercial teams for complete shipment details and contractual compliance.
• Analyze costs, including supplier invoices, outsource costs, Domestic Linehaul, Delivery Agents, and overhead allocations.
• Assess the cost structure and ground operating costs, coordinating with operations to maximize profits within the company’s risk appetite.
• Analyze Degree of Operating Leverage (DOL) and coordinate strategic plans with operations.
• Track margin performance at product, lane, customer, and route levels, identifying opportunities for improvement through cost optimization and pricing support.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles specifically for Courier related products.
• Produce monthly performance dashboards, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and variance analyses.
• Assess financial risks and opportunities, providing insights to support leadership decisions.
• Partner with Operations Managers, procurement, and commercial teams, offering financial support for pricing decisions, tenders, routing changes, and supplier negotiations.

Education and Professional Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Logistics, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CMA, ACCA, or CPA is considered a plus.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in finance, with an ideal background in Courier operations.
• At least 3 years of experience specifically in a controlling or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) role.

Required Skills and Technical Proficiency

• Strong knowledge of Couriers costing models.
• Solid understanding of revenue recognition principles and IFRS.
• Excellent analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
• Proven experience with cost allocation, route costing, and yield analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (such as SAP/CW), and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will have the option to be located in either Riyadh or Jeddah.
