About the Role
Brains Valley Company is seeking a Cyber Security Supervisor to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading and supervising Security Operations Center (SOC) activities within a managed security services environment. The supervisor ensures the effective delivery of security monitoring, detection, analysis, escalation, incident response coordination, and reporting services to clients. This position is critical for maintaining operational excellence, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements, and supporting the organization’s managed SOC service objectives in alignment with applicable NCA cybersecurity requirements.
Core SOC Operations
The Cyber Security Supervisor will lead day-to-day SOC operations, ensuring the effective delivery of managed security monitoring and incident handling services to clients. This includes supervising SOC analysts and senior analysts, managing shifts, distributing workloads, monitoring queues, and conducting quality assurance. The role is responsible for ensuring the timely triage, investigation, escalation, and closure of security alerts, events, and incidents in accordance with defined service levels and internal procedures. Additionally, the supervisor will maintain SOC runbooks, operational procedures, escalation matrices, and client-specific response playbooks, while supporting the continuous improvement of SOC processes, workflows, service quality, and operational efficiency.
Security Monitoring and Incident Response
- Oversee the effective operation of security monitoring technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, threat intelligence platforms, and log management solutions.
- Ensure the onboarding, integration, and health monitoring of client log sources, security controls, and telemetry feeds, and optimize correlation rules and detection use cases.
- Lead the coordination of security incident handling activities from detection through analysis, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident review.
- Ensure incidents are classified, prioritized, documented, and escalated appropriately based on severity, business impact, and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with internal teams, client stakeholders, and third parties during major incidents and service escalations.
- Support the collection, review, and operationalization of threat intelligence to improve detection and response capability, and lead or support proactive threat hunting activities.
Team Leadership and Client Engagement
- Lead, coach, and mentor SOC personnel to foster a high-performing and service-oriented team environment, setting performance expectations and supporting ongoing development.
- Act as an operational focal point for assigned clients on SOC service delivery matters, supporting client communications and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
- Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Ensure SOC operations are conducted in accordance with internal policies, service standards, contractual obligations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Prepare operational dashboards and management reports covering service levels, incident statistics, alert volumes, response times, and performance trends.
- Support internal and external audits, compliance reviews, tabletop exercises, and evidence collection activities.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates for the Cyber Security Supervisor position should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant cybersecurity role, preferably within a Security Operations Center or managed security services environment. A strong understanding of SOC operations, security monitoring technologies (SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR), incident response frameworks, and threat intelligence is essential. The role requires proven leadership capabilities to supervise and mentor a team of security analysts, coupled with the ability to manage client relationships and ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, at Brains Valley Company. The successful candidate will work within a dynamic managed security services environment, leading a dedicated team of SOC analysts to protect client assets and ensure robust cybersecurity posture.
