About the Role

Ejada is seeking a Data Governance & Catalog Consultant to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise metadata management, data cataloging, business glossary, and data governance capabilities. The consultant will support the organization's data governance strategy by ensuring metadata assets are properly managed, governed, documented, and accessible to stakeholders.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to enable improved data discovery, lineage, quality, compliance, and business value realization through effective metadata management and data governance. The consultant will play a key role in establishing robust frameworks and processes for managing data assets across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise metadata management and data catalog solutions.
• Develop and manage business glossaries, data dictionaries, taxonomies, and metadata repositories.
• Define and implement metadata governance standards, processes, and operating models.
• Support metadata capture, classification, enrichment, and cataloging across enterprise data assets.
• Establish and maintain end-to-end data lineage and data traceability capabilities.
• Collaborate with data owners, data stewards, business teams, and technical teams to ensure metadata quality and consistency.
• Configure and administer data catalog and metadata management platforms.
• Support data governance initiatives related to metadata management, data ownership, stewardship, and compliance.
• Monitor metadata quality, completeness, lineage coverage, and governance KPIs.
• Develop metadata standards, policies, procedures, and governance documentation.
• Support regulatory, audit, compliance, and data management requirements through effective metadata governance.
• Provide user training, adoption support, and knowledge transfer related to metadata and catalog platforms.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance data governance maturity and metadata management capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in data governance, metadata management, or data cataloging roles.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining enterprise metadata management and data catalog solutions.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles, standards, and best practices.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a collaborative environment, engaging with various stakeholders across business and technical teams.
