About the Role

Devoteam is seeking a Data Privacy Consultant to join its Data & Intelligence Business Unit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to ensuring clients' compliance with personal data protection laws and fostering a culture of data privacy within their organizations. This is a full-time, senior to managerial-level position for professionals passionate about data privacy and compliance in the Saudi Arabian market. The consultant will advise clients, develop policies, and conduct audits to uphold high data protection standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure client policies align with codes of practice, including the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
• Draft new and amend existing internal data protection policies, guidelines, and procedures in consultation with key organizational stakeholders.
• Advise data controllers and data processors on all aspects of data protection.
• Promote a culture of data protection and compliance across all organizational units.
• Conduct audits to verify compliance and identify potential data privacy issues.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all data processing activities undertaken by the company.
• Act as the primary point of contact for data protection authorities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or Information Management from a recognized program.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Personal Data Privacy.
• Demonstrated knowledge of industry-leading data governance and data management practices.
• Proven practical experience in data privacy practices, with an understanding of business and technology issues related to enterprise information asset management.
• CDMP certification is required.
• CIPP certification is considered a strong advantage.

Additional Information

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The required experience is 5-10 years. Fluency in Arabic and English is highly desirable.
