Mina Excellence is seeking a Demi Chef Pastry to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 0-1 years of experience.

Role Overview

The Demi Chef Pastry will provide support to the Pastry Chef and Chef de Partie in the preparation and production of high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked goods. This role is integral to the daily operations of the pastry section.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operations within the pastry section.
• Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and other baked goods.
• Execute ingredient preparation and mise en place for production and service.
• Adhere to established recipes and instructions to maintain consistent quality standards.
• Support in the decoration and presentation of desserts and pastries.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the pastry section.
• Comply with all food safety and hygiene standards.
• Properly store ingredients and finished products.
• Monitor stock levels and report any shortages to the Chef de Partie.
• Minimize food waste and optimize ingredient usage.
• Provide support to the Chef de Partie and Pastry Chef during peak service periods.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team and assist with other tasks as required.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in a pastry kitchen or a similar culinary role.
• Basic understanding of pastry and baking techniques.
• Demonstrated passion for pastry, desserts, and baking.
• Strong attention to detail and presentation skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good teamwork and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• A culinary or pastry qualification is preferred.
