The Role of Design Drafter

Mohammad Al Habib Real Estate is seeking a detail-oriented Design Drafter to join its Technical Office team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is integral to the development of high-rise towers, focusing on translating engineering designs and sketches into accurate, code-compliant technical drawings. The Design Drafter will play a critical part in ensuring drawings are precise, current, and issued on schedule to maintain construction progress and avoid delays in construction progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update detailed shop drawings, as-built drawings, and working drawings from engineering sketches and design outputs.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, relevant codes, and approved design standards.
• Coordinate with design engineers to accurately incorporate revisions and markups into drawings.
• Maintain comprehensive drawing registers, manage revision control, and keep accurate issue logs.
• Support clash detection and coordination efforts, particularly when working within BIM environments.
• Liaise with site engineers to resolve any drawing discrepancies that arise during project execution.
• Ensure the timely submission of drawings for approval through consultant and client review cycles.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in drafting, with a preference for experience in high-rise or large-scale building projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D/3D) is required.
• Experience with Revit/BIM is preferred, especially for towers-scale coordination.
• Prior experience with towers or high-rise projects is preferred, which may have been gained anywhere, including within KSA.

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
