Design educator

Description:
As a Design Educator at Lamba, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, interactive lessons and workshops that inspire students to explore design within a dynamic STEAM environment. You will create engaging educational content, including presentations, lesson plans, guides, and outlines, and work on design initiatives and related opportunities. You will actively participate in meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities organized by the company, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement. You will contribute to research and development efforts to enhance program relevance and effectiveness while ensuring full compliance with the educator’s guide and company policies and procedures. This position requires a collaborative spirit, a passion for teaching, and the ability to follow directions and guidance from management to help achieve the Center’s educational goals. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Facilitate Learning

o   Develop and deliver engaging, interactive, and hands-on courses, lessons, workshops, and studio sessions rooted in design and the broader STEAM framework.

o   Tailor learning experiences to diverse age groups and learning styles, encouraging inquiry, experimentation, and deep conceptual understanding.

 

• Guide the Creative Process

o   Support students through all stages of design and innovation—from idea generation to prototyping, testing, and iteration—fostering resilience, ownership, and a growth mindset.

 

• Curriculum & Program Development

o   Create and maintain high-quality educational materials, including lesson plans, guides, and presentations.

o   Collaborate with fellow educators, technologists, and designers to co-develop and continuously refine interdisciplinary curriculum content.

o   Participate in research, development, and program evaluation to ensure effectiveness, relevance, and innovation.

 

• Learning Environment & Student Experience

o   Maintain a safe, organized, and innovation-driven studio environment that promotes exploration, collaboration, and creativity.

o   Support the documentation, assessment, and presentation of student learning through portfolios, exhibitions, and showcases.

 

• Community & Communication

o   Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and the wider community to highlight student progress and program impact.

o   Provide constructive feedback to colleagues and contribute to program improvement initiatives.

o   Support the creation and sharing of design-related content through social media channels to showcase student achievements, highlight program initiatives, and strengthen Lamba’s educational presence online.

 

• Professional Engagement & Growth

o   Attend meetings, training sessions, conferences, and professional development opportunities to stay current within the STEAM ecosystem.

o   Mentor and train student teams for participation in national, regional, and international STEAM competitions.

o   Stay agile and responsive to emerging technologies, educational trends, and new opportunities for growth.

o   Design and facilitate training programs in collaboration with external partners such as schools, government entities, and community organizations, contributing to capacity-building efforts and strengthening Lamba’s role within the national STEAM ecosystem.

 

• Organizational Alignment

o   Ensure compliance with the educator’s guide and company policies and procedures.

o   Report to the Center Manager, contributing to KPIs related to student engagement, program quality, and innovation.
