The Role of Director of Legal Compliance & International Affairs
NAQEL Express is seeking a Director of Legal Compliance & International Affairs to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing legal affairs, governance, compliance, and risk management for the company's international subsidiaries, providing strategic legal advice, and managing international legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee legal affairs, governance, compliance, and risk management for international subsidiaries.
- Provide strategic legal advice to senior management and the Board on international matters.
- Support the establishment, registration, licensing, and regulatory compliance of international entities.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage domestic and international contracts, agreements, MOUs, and employment contracts.
- Manage domestic and international litigation, arbitration, disputes, and external legal counsel.
- Protect and manage the company’s intellectual property rights worldwide.
- Monitor global legal and regulatory developments and implement risk mitigation measures.
- Manage relationships with international partners, government authorities, and regulatory bodies regarding legal matters.
- Drive policy, procedure, and service improvements, ensuring effective implementation of NAQEL agreements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Law is required. A Master's degree or equivalent is considered an advantage.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of legal and compliance experience is essential, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Preferred: Previous experience as a Board Secretary is preferred.
Work Setting
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focusing on the legal and compliance aspects of international operations within a dynamic logistics environment.
