The District Manager Role at Carrefour Saudi Arabia

Carrefour Saudi Arabia (Majid Al Futtaim) is seeking a District Manager to oversee store operations in Riyadh. This full-time position is central to driving continuous improvement in store performance by meticulously monitoring and analyzing operational data. The role holder will be instrumental in proposing and ensuring the effective implementation of improvement strategies, aligning with senior management directives and overall organizational objectives. This position also involves coordinating internal functions to develop and maintain synergies as per the overall strategy.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure the proper conservation, utilization, and profitability of store assets within the country, including guaranteed store visits to assigned locations.
• Support the development of the national concept and oversee its consistent application across the country.
• Ensure the rigorous implementation of MAF Retail corporate policies and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations in the operating country.
• Oversee the application of the product assortment structure and maintain high standards for product presentation.
• Provide support for new projects throughout all phases and coordinate synergies between various functions.
• Ensure the promotional image is consistently maintained for all assigned stores.
• Assist in the implementation of the performance management process, including objective setting, performance monitoring, providing constructive feedback, and offering inputs to senior management.
• Identify and provide inputs on training needs, coordinating with the Human Capital department to facilitate required training programs.

Required Experience

Candidates for the District Manager position must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in retail management or a related operational leadership capacity, preferably within a large-scale retail environment.
