About the Role

Duncan & Ross is seeking an Electrical BIM Modeler - Power to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves developing detailed electrical power models and shop drawings, ensuring coordination across various disciplines. The role requires 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.

Role Overview

The Electrical BIM Modeler will be responsible for creating LOD 300–500 electrical power models and shop drawings. This includes comprehensive coverage of MV/LV distribution, lighting, containment, and earthing systems, all while maintaining coordination with other project disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Model MV/LV systems, including substations, transformers, switchgear, MDBs/SMDBs/DBs, generators, UPS, and busducts.
• Develop models for cable trays, trunking, conduits, lighting layouts, small power, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
• Produce power and lighting shop drawings, electrical room layouts, containment routes, single-line diagram references, and builder's work drawings.
• Coordinate containment routes and electrical rooms with mechanical, structural, and architectural models, and resolve clashes using Navisworks.
• Coordinate EV charging, façade lighting, and external lighting interfaces where applicable.
• Extract quantities for cables, containment, fixtures, and panels for Quantity Surveyors (QS).
• Update models to LOD 500 as-built status and incorporate asset data for COBie handover.
• Adhere to project BEP, QIC BIM standards, and ISO 19650 CDE processes.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in electrical BIM modeling, specifically within power systems. A strong understanding of MV/LV distribution, lighting, containment, and earthing is essential.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in developing LOD 300–500 electrical power models.
• Experience with clash detection and resolution using Navisworks.
• Familiarity with project BEP, QIC BIM standards, and ISO 19650 CDE processes.
• Ability to extract quantities for various electrical components.
• Experience with COBie handover requirements.
