Alqotr is seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer Supervision to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position focused on overseeing the execution of electrical projects on-site, ensuring adherence to established standards and efficient delivery.

Role Summary

The Electrical Engineer Supervision will be responsible for the on-site implementation of electrical works. This role involves ensuring strict compliance with technical drawings, project specifications, and approved industry codes. Key aspects include monitoring quality, upholding safety standards, and facilitating effective coordination among all project stakeholders to ensure electrical systems are delivered efficiently and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision of electrical works, including power, lighting, panels, cables, low current systems, grounding, and lightning protection.
• Review and approve Shop Drawings, ensuring full compliance with Issued For Construction (IFC) drawings.
• Evaluate and approve Material Submittals, verifying adherence to project specifications and relevant codes such as IEC, NEC, and IEEE.
• Monitor all stages of cable installation, including laying, pulling, connections, termination, and insulation testing.
• Supervise the installation of electrical panels (MDB, SMDB, DB) and ensure proper connections.
• Oversee the implementation of various low current systems, including Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Building Management Systems (BMS), and Data & Communication networks.
• Conduct and supervise electrical tests such as Insulation Resistance Test, Continuity Test, Megger Test, Earth Resistance Test, and Functional Testing.
• Coordinate effectively with other engineering disciplines, including Civil, Mechanical, and Architectural teams, to prevent conflicts.
• Prepare comprehensive daily and weekly reports detailing work progress and site observations.
• Manage and guide technicians and contractors to ensure high-quality execution of electrical works.
• Prepare Snag Lists and diligently follow up on their timely closure.
• Participate in initial commissioning activities to ensure systems are fully prepared for handover.
• Monitor and enforce electrical safety protocols, ensuring strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Between 2 to 5 years of proven experience in electrical supervision, particularly in on-site project implementation.
• Strong understanding of electrical technical drawings, specifications, and approved industry codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE).
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical safety standards and HSE procedures.

Technical Expertise

Candidates should possess practical experience with a wide range of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, various panel types (MDB, SMDB, DB), cabling infrastructure, grounding, and lightning protection. Familiarity with diverse low current systems such as Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, BMS, and Data & Communication is essential. Proficiency in conducting and interpreting results from electrical tests like Insulation Resistance, Continuity, Megger, Earth Resistance, and Functional Testing is also required.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring regular on-site presence to supervise and coordinate electrical works effectively within a dynamic project environment.
