WSP Middle East is seeking a highly experienced Resident Engineer - Electrical to join a supervision consultancy team. This full-time role is integral to a major infrastructure development project located approximately 100 km north of Jeddah, within the Makkah region.

Role Purpose

The Resident Engineer will be responsible for the comprehensive supervision of all electrical and related utility works on site. This includes ensuring that all aspects of the project adhere strictly to specified requirements, quality standards, and approved designs throughout the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all electrical supervision activities on site as an integral part of the consultant team.
• Supervise the installation and construction of power distribution networks, including Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems.
• Oversee the implementation of street lighting systems and their associated infrastructure.
• Supervise works related to telecom infrastructure, including the installation of ducts, chambers, and related systems.
• Coordinate electrical works effectively with other infrastructure utilities such as road networks, water, sewage, stormwater, gas distribution, irrigation, and landscaping.
• Ensure that all electrical works are executed in strict accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and international standards.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements presented by contractors.
• Monitor construction progress, quality assurance, and compliance with health and safety requirements on site.
• Resolve technical issues that arise on site and coordinate with design teams as necessary.
• Prepare and review site inspection reports, progress reports, and other essential technical documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in infrastructure supervision projects, specifically gained with engineering consultancy firms.
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating electrical works within complex multi-utility infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and site management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.

Work Location

This full-time position requires on-site presence for a major infrastructure project situated approximately 100 km north of Jeddah, within the Makkah region.
