Electrical Inspector Dry Utilities

About the Role

DAR AL OMRAN is seeking an Electrical Inspector – Dry Utilities to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves inspecting electrical infrastructure and dry utility networks to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in this field.

Role Overview

The Electrical Inspector will be responsible for monitoring site activities and inspecting electrical and dry utility installations. This includes verifying adherence to technical requirements and approved project documentation. The role requires coordination with contractors, consultants, and project teams to maintain quality standards and support the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of electrical and dry utility works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and applicable standards.
• Inspect underground electrical duct banks, cable ducts, conduits, cable routes, and associated infrastructure installations.
• Monitor the installation of low-voltage and medium-voltage underground cables and related electrical infrastructure, as applicable to the project.
• Inspect electrical manholes, handholes, cable chambers, and other associated utility structures.
• Inspect street lighting infrastructure, including underground cabling, lighting poles, foundations, and electrical connections, where applicable.
• Verify the installation of earthing and grounding systems and associated electrical components.
• Attend inspections and testing activities and verify compliance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Review material submittals, inspection requests, method statements, and relevant shop drawings as required.
• Verify that materials, workmanship, installation methods, and testing procedures meet project specifications and quality requirements.
• Identify, document, and follow up on non-conformance reports (NCRs), site observations, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, electrical engineers, and other utility teams to resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspections, testing activities, approvals, and site observations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi Arabian codes, utility authority requirements, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Support the implementation of quality assurance and quality control procedures throughout construction.
• Perform other duties related to electrical inspection and dry utilities as assigned by the Project Manager or relevant management.

Required Experience

• Solid experience in inspecting electrical infrastructure and dry utility networks.
• 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, involving site activities and coordination with various project stakeholders.
