About the Role

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Inspector to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves conducting comprehensive inspections of electrical installations and systems to ensure compliance with Saudi electrical codes and international safety standards. The Electrical Inspector will collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project teams to maintain high standards of electrical safety and quality in construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of electrical installations, systems, and equipment to verify compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), SASO standards, and international safety requirements.
  • Analyze electrical drawings, plans, and specifications to identify potential issues and ensure proper implementation.
  • Perform electrical testing using specialized equipment and diagnostic tools, documenting all test results and findings in detailed inspection reports.
  • Identify code violations, safety hazards, and deficiencies, communicating corrective actions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and site teams to resolve electrical issues and ensure timely project progression.
  • Supervise electrical contractors and workers on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Maintain organized records of all inspections, test results, certifications, and compliance documentation.
  • Provide recommendations for electrical system improvements and safety enhancements based on analytical findings.
  • Communicate inspection findings clearly to project teams and management.
  • Stay current with evolving electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices in Saudi Arabia and the region.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical inspection or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive inspections and ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in analyzing electrical drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Experience with electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong communication skills for reporting findings and coordinating with project teams.

Work Environment

This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is a full-time role. New hires are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
