Electrical Project Engineer (Substations)

About the Role

Trading and Development Partnership is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer specializing in substations. This full-time role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves managing substation projects from initiation to completion. The position requires 5 to 10 years of experience in power systems, focusing on high-voltage infrastructure.

Role Overview

The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of substation projects. This includes coordinating site activities, managing contractors, reviewing designs, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. The role is critical for delivering power infrastructure projects on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily project operations for power infrastructure sites.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and under budget.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal engineering teams.
• Review technical drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
• Monitor site safety, quality control, and environmental standards.
• Prepare progress reports, project schedules, and technical documentation.
• Resolve site technical issues and manage testing and commissioning processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 to 9 years of experience in the power sector.
• Domain Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with high-voltage (HV/EHV) substations.

Required Skills

• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of grid codes, safety standards, and project management software (MS Project/Primavera).
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
