The Opportunity

Acwa is seeking an Emergency Response & Crisis Management Manager to join its Industrial Security & Crisis Management function in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, corporate-level role is central to strengthening emergency preparedness and crisis management across Acwa's diverse portfolio, including projects, operating companies, offices, and facilities within Saudi Arabia. The manager will ensure consistent application of the Emergency Response and Crisis Management framework across all project companies and serve as a critical liaison between project entities, Acwa leadership, and relevant Saudi government authorities to ensure effective response to major incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Acwa's Emergency Response and Crisis Management frameworks, procedures, and plans.
  • Ensure project companies and facilities align with Acwa's corporate emergency and crisis management requirements.
  • Support the development and review of Emergency Response Plans (ERP) and Crisis Management Plans.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness activities across projects, operational assets, offices, and construction sites.
  • Provide guidance and support to project companies during emergencies and crisis situations.
  • Support crisis escalation, communication, and coordination between project companies and Acwa's corporate leadership.
  • Coordinate with relevant Saudi government authorities and external stakeholders on emergency and crisis management requirements.
  • Plan and support emergency drills, tabletop exercises, crisis simulations, and preparedness assessments.
  • Monitor actions arising from exercises, incidents, and regulatory requirements through to closure.
  • Support the allocation and coordination of appropriate resources during major incidents.
  • Drive continuous improvement in emergency preparedness and organisational resilience across Acwa's Saudi portfolio.
  • Support awareness and capability development across project and corporate teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience within power generation, utilities, water/desalination, oil & gas, petrochemicals, energy, or other critical infrastructure environments.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working across multiple sites, projects, or business units.
  • Previous experience within a major Saudi industrial or critical infrastructure organisation.

Work Environment and Location

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience to effectively manage the scope of this role.
