The Role: Civil Engineer

El Seif Engineering Contracting is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves managing aspects of construction projects, providing technical guidance, and supervising on-site crews and subcontractors to ensure project completion within established timelines and budgets. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portion of a construction project, offering technical advice and supervising work crews and subcontractors to meet deadlines and budget.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage all temporary works activities on site, ensuring alignment with construction schedules and project requirements.
• Coordinate the design, review, and approval of temporary works, including formwork, falsework, scaffolding, shoring, and excavation support systems.
• Ensure structural integrity and safety compliance by verifying approved designs, risk assessments, method statements, and inspection requirements prior to execution.
• Liaise with project managers, engineering teams, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure timely implementation of temporary works.
• Monitor site execution, conduct inspections, and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, HSE standards, and applicable regulations.
• Support the development of KSA national employees to achieve corporate objectives, Saudization targets, and knowledge dissemination.
• Conduct team affairs with high standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety, and corporate governance.
• Ensure compliance with the Code of Ethics policy and adopt company values, providing leadership to reinforce a strong people culture and ethical business practices.
• Manage the adoption and utilization of systems and ERP within the team.
• Supervise day-to-day team responsibilities in accordance with project plans and approved budgets.
• Optimize equipment operations at the site and manage effective operating procedures.
• Check and confirm the accuracy of technical designs and drawings.
• Supervise site workers' quality of work and productivity.
• Provide technical advice and resolve problems on site.
• Prepare site reports and accurately complete relevant site forms.
• Liaise with quantity surveyors to order and negotiate material prices.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in civil engineering roles, preferably within construction project management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage construction project components, supervise teams, and ensure adherence to project specifications and budgets.
• Proficiency in planning and coordinating temporary works activities.
• Strong understanding of structural integrity, safety compliance, and relevant regulations.
• Experience in liaising with various stakeholders including project managers, engineering teams, consultants, and subcontractors.
