About the ENGINEER, HSE Role

alfanar is seeking an ENGINEER, HSE to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience. The role focuses on ensuring safe operations and compliance within various work environments.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this role is to monitor workplaces, buildings, and machines to ensure safe operations and prevent hazards or safety violations in product production and work areas. This includes:

  • Preparing HSE documents and questionnaires for pre-qualification with new clients, and thoroughly reviewing client requirements.
  • Developing HSE documents for bidding purposes across MEP, P&W, and AGD sectors.
  • Creating PowerPoint presentations for client meetings and participating in post-bid clarification meetings as required.
  • Providing guidance to the tender department on HSE aspects.
  • Developing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Environmental plans aligned with client requirements for projects.
  • Ensuring timely document approvals from clients and compliance with comments on submittals.
  • Coordinating with client representatives and preparing risk assessments and job safety analyses.
  • Disseminating approved documents to the project team and maintaining meticulous records of all documents.
  • Assisting project teams in the preparation of reports, including close-out reports.

Team Leadership and Development

This role involves developing and training subordinates to ensure effective teamwork and task completion. Key aspects include:

  • Providing leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates.
  • Delegating assignments effectively to team members.
  • Ensuring fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale and motivation.

Operational Delivery and Problem Solving

The role requires effective execution of planned activities to meet operational and development targets within specified delivery schedules. This involves:

  • Utilizing resources efficiently to achieve objectives within cost and time constraints.
  • Providing periodic reports detailing deviations and the execution of planned tasks.
  • Resolving related problems as they arise and escalating complex operational issues.

Quality, Compliance, and Safety Assurance

Ensuring high standards of quality, compliance, and safety is integral to this position. This includes:

  • Developing effective quality control processes and specifications for products or related activities.
  • Coordinating well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, and seeking automation opportunities.
  • Complying with relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and high-quality product/service delivery.
