The Role of Principal Engineer

As a Principal Engineer, you will provide senior-level leadership across major contracts in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to aligning contractors, consultants, and employer stakeholders to ensure effective project execution and consistent delivery standards. The role involves maintaining confidence in project strategy, administration, and governance, while fostering collaborative working relationships across the project environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assume the role of the Engineer under the contract.
• Maintain a close working relationship with and report to the Employer's Representative.
• Carry out project administration, schedule, and project management activities in accordance with contract requirements and employer procedures.
• Assure implementation of health and safety policies and procedures by the Contractor and Supervision Consultant.
• Assure implementation of employer QA/QC policies and procedures by the Contractor and Supervision Consultant.
• Ensure compliance with all company internal processes and procedures.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and advice to Contractor and Consultant teams to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Foster a productive work environment and promote a strong team culture with open communication.
• Deliver exemplary contract administration performance.
• Manage prompt payment of money owed in accordance with contract terms and conditions.
• Administer contracts effectively and efficiently, including management of the Supervision Consultant in relation to project resource requirements.
• Establish and maintain regular close contact with the Employer to address concerns.
• Provide internal and external reports in accordance with contract requirements.
• Actively participate in Safety Health Environment Leadership Team meetings and other health and safety initiatives.
• Lead by example and proactively participate in weekly site tours with the H&S Manager and others.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in managing complex civil engineering projects. The position requires a professional with a strong background in contract administration and project governance.
