The Fitout Draughtsman Role

ALEC Fitout is seeking a Fitout Draughtsman to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves a key role in crafting high-end interiors for luxury spaces within hospitality, retail, and commercial developments. The Draughtsman is responsible for translating design concepts into technical drawings with precision, coordination, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

The Fitout Draughtsman will manage the technical drawing process for custom furniture and joinery projects, from initial concept through to factory release. Core responsibilities include:

• Creating precise 2D and 3D CAD+T drawings for bespoke joinery items.
• Generating machine-ready files, cutting lists, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Coordinating with production teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Managing drawing versions and ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Optimizing materials and supporting quality control during the production phase.

Team Collaboration and Reporting

This role reports directly to the Technical Manager and is a pivotal part of the Technical Department. The Draughtsman will be responsible for preparing highly accurate shop drawings and production files for bespoke joinery items. Collaboration is essential, working closely with designers, engineers, and factory teams to ensure seamless production, compliance with design intent, and excellence in execution.

Required Experience

Candidates for the Fitout Draughtsman position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, preferably within the fitout or bespoke joinery sector.
