Head of HR Workmen

About the Role

L & T Case Equipment Private Limited is seeking a Head of HR Workmen for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves managing the human resources function for workmen engaged in solar EPC projects, with a focus on labour welfare, compliance, recruitment, employee relations, and performance management. The Head of HR Workmen will ensure effective implementation of HR policies and initiatives, fostering a productive and harmonious work environment for workmen across all project sites in GCC Countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the recruitment and onboarding processes for workmen across multiple solar EPC project sites, coordinating with site managers to meet labour requirements.
• Act as the primary contact for workmen-related queries, fostering positive labour relations, and ensuring adherence to welfare initiatives including health, safety, accommodation, and transportation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant labour laws, contracts, and statutory requirements, maintaining accurate records of workmen data.
• Oversee the payroll process for workmen, ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages and benefits in collaboration with the finance department.
• Identify skill gaps and organize relevant training programs to enhance workmen's efficiency, productivity, and safety.
• Develop and implement performance management strategies, set expectations, evaluate performance, and recommend recognition programs.
• Ensure workmen are aware of and adhere to safety standards and regulations on-site, monitoring health and safety performance.
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to workmen's attendance, performance, and issues, providing regular updates to senior management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 15 years of proven experience in HR management, with at least 8 years in a leadership role overseeing workmen or labour management within a construction or EPC environment, preferably in the renewable energy or solar industry.
• Strong understanding of labour regulations, compliance, and HR best practices in GCC countries or the respective country of operation.
• Demonstrated track record in managing large-scale workforces and multi-site operations.
