About the Role
Rqiip is developing an AI-powered operational and growth infrastructure for SMEs, aiming to become a core layer for businesses globally. We are assembling our founding leadership team and are seeking a Head of Business Development to lead growth, partnerships, and market expansion. This is a full-time, equity-based founding role located in Riyadh.
Role Overview
As the Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for driving Rqiip's commercial growth. You will lead strategic partnerships, revenue opportunities, market expansion, ecosystem development, and go-to-market execution. Working directly with the Founder and leadership team, you will position Rqiip in the market, build relationships, and unlock growth channels. This role requires initiative, pipeline building from scratch, and converting opportunities into long-term value.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the business development strategy, identifying key growth opportunities and building scalable partnership and revenue frameworks.
- Identify, approach, and secure strategic partnerships, building relationships with SMEs, enterprises, service providers, and ecosystem players.
- Develop and manage revenue pipelines, identify monetization strategies, and explore new business verticals and growth channels.
- Lead market entry strategies, position Rqiip effectively, and provide market feedback to shape product development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as an external representative of the company.
- Support regional and international expansion efforts by identifying new markets and entry strategies.
- Assist in early-stage fundraising efforts and build relationships with potential investors.
- Collaborate with product, operations, and technology teams, providing market insights and ensuring alignment between growth strategy and execution.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for builders, deal-makers, and operators with experience in startups, SaaS companies, marketplace platforms, consulting firms, or business development/growth roles. The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong experience in business development or partnerships.
- Proven ability to build and close strategic deals.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience working with founders or senior leadership.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous and fast-moving environments.
- Strong commercial and strategic thinking.
- An execution-driven mindset.
- An existing network within business or startup ecosystems is a significant advantage.
A founder mentality is highly valued.

Compensation and Application
This is an equity-based founding role with significant long-term upside. There is currently no salary attached to this position.
