About the Executive Director Business Partnerships Role
People Group Arabia is seeking an entrepreneurial Executive Director Business Partnerships to join its newly established organization in Saudi Arabia. This role is central to shaping the commercial future of the company, requiring a strategic leader to drive growth and establish key relationships within the infrastructure sector.
Role Context and Objectives
This is a build-from-the-ground-up position focused on developing strategic partnerships, creating new business lines, and unlocking significant investment opportunities. The successful candidate will be instrumental in establishing new ventures, forging high-value partnerships, and delivering commercial growth within complex infrastructure environments. The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the organization's business partnerships and commercial growth strategy.
- Identify, secure, and manage strategic partnerships across shipping, ports, logistics, industrial, and economic zones.
- Create new revenue streams and business lines aligned with the organization's long-term objectives.
- Lead business development, investment attraction, and commercial negotiations with public and private sector partners.
- Build relationships with global port operators, shipping lines, logistics providers, developers, and investors.
- Support the development of investment cases, commercial models, and joint venture opportunities.
- Represent the organization with senior government stakeholders and international partners.
Candidate Profile and Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience is required, with the original description specifying 15+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial leadership within the ports, shipping, maritime, or logistics sectors.
- Proven track record of building businesses, launching new commercial ventures, or establishing new operating models, rather than solely managing existing operations.
- Strong network across the maritime, ports, logistics, and industrial development sectors.
- Experience in attracting investment, negotiating complex commercial agreements, and developing strategic partnerships.
- Commercially astute with excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
Work Environment and Location
This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to the foundational stages of a flagship organization, developing strategic partnerships and commercial platforms that will support one of the region's significant investment programs.
