Role Overview: Host/Hostess

The Ritz-Carlton in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a dedicated Host/Hostess to join its full-time team. This role is central to ensuring that guests receive a welcoming and attentive experience from the moment they arrive, upholding the company's commitment to service excellence and the Gold Standards daily.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and accurately determine party size.
• Seat guests promptly at clean, available tables, ensuring chairs are pulled out and updated menus are presented.
• Guide guests through dining areas and provide assistance as required.
• Arrange and reconfigure tables, chairs, and place settings to accommodate groups and special needs.
• Verify that appropriate tableware, napkins, and clean cutlery are set for each guest.
• Inspect menus for cleanliness, completeness, and current information.
• Maintain cleanliness of all work areas throughout the day.
• Monitor dining areas for seating availability, service flow, safety, and guest well-being.
• Adhere to all company and safety policies, report incidents, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a neat and professional uniform and personal appearance, protect proprietary information, and safeguard company assets.
• Communicate professionally with guests and colleagues, including answering telephones using proper protocol.
• Foster positive working relationships and support team objectives.
• Ensure compliance with quality expectations and service standards.
• Perform additional job duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent certificate from a General Educational Development (GED) program.
• Experience: No related work experience is required; however, previous experience in gastronomic environments is valued.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds ( kg) or less without assistance.
• Supervisory Experience: Not required for this role.
• License or Certification: None specified.
