The Role of HR Specialist

Proger *** is seeking a detailed-oriented and proactive HR Specialist to join the Human Resources team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing day-to-day HR operations, supporting full-lifecycle recruitment, overseeing employee onboarding, and assisting with policy compliance and administration. The HR Specialist will serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR processes, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager, HR Manager, and Senior Management at the Italian Headquarter to implement HR initiatives.
  • Contribute to the implementation of HR strategies, policies, and programs in compliance with Saudi Laws, international regulations, and standards.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, interviews, onboarding, contracts, renewals, orientation, training, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding across multiple regions.
  • Support in handling employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Utilize HR Information Systems (HRIS) platforms such as QIWA, GOSI, and Muqeem for data tracking, employee records, and reporting.
  • Use the corporate HR platform and ATS system for uploading/updating contractual information and documents, and processing related reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Labor Law and local regulations, including immigration, employment contracts, work permits, and visa requirements.
  • Execute HR activities regularly and in compliance with deadlines and company instructions.
  • Support external consultants in Labor Law and personnel management as required.
  • Cooperate in managing compensation and benefits, including salary benchmarking, incentive programs, and employee rewards.
  • Handle attendance activities to finalize the payroll cycle and calculate/pay GOSI contributions.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of employee data in alignment with data protection laws.
  • Provide support to Line Managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Functions on cross-cutting issues.
  • Perform HR reporting and analytics.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in HR Operations.
  • Perform additional related activities consistent with assigned tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in HR Operations or HR Administration. Previous experience with international or engineering companies is preferred.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of Saudi HR laws, best practices, and regulations, including employment contracts, work permits, visa, and Saudization requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HR software (internal and ministerial).
