HSE Officer

About the Role

Tahreez Fleet is seeking a HSE Officer to support geophysical exploration activities in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a practical, field-oriented individual with a strong presence in remote locations. The role involves daily interaction with crews, disciplined HSE monitoring, and timely reporting to ensure safety across various field operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain active HSE coverage during ANT, MT/AMT, Gravity, Magnetic, and related field activities, identifying unsafe acts/conditions and ensuring controls are implemented.
• Support and review Risk Assessments, JSA/Method Statements, Take-5 / field-level assessments, and Journey Management Plans.
• Monitor work in difficult terrain, including areas with challenging vehicle access, steep slopes, long walking distances, loose/rocky ground, and isolated locations.
• Implement heat-stress controls, monitor environmental conditions, hydration, rest, and recovery, and identify signs of heat illness or fatigue.
• Verify vehicle readiness, recovery equipment, first-aid kits, fire extinguishers, drinking water, and communication devices.
• Confirm functionality and charge status of satellite phones, Garmin/inReach, radios, or other approved communication devices, supporting scheduled field check-ins.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and practical HSE awareness training on topics such as heat stress, fatigue, manual handling, buddy system, emergency response, first aid/CPR, journey management, and difficult-terrain work.
• Support medical emergencies, lost-person events, vehicle incidents, and other field emergencies in line with the Emergency Response Plan.
• Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions promptly, supporting investigations, evidence collection, corrective actions, and close-out tracking.
• Conduct routine checks of field activities, vehicles, PPE, accommodation/camp areas, stores, emergency equipment, and communication devices.
• Prepare clear daily, weekly, and monthly HSE records and reports in English, covering inspections, observations, toolbox talks, training, incidents, and corrective actions.

Work Environment

This role is primarily field-based and involves working in remote locations across Saudi Arabia. The work environment includes desert, rocky, and mountainous terrain, long travel times, walking to inaccessible locations, extreme heat, and limited communications. The position requires a strong commitment to maintaining safety standards under challenging conditions.

Reporting and Compliance

The HSE Officer will be responsible for preparing comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports in English. Compliance monitoring will include adherence to FTJV, client, and applicable Saudi requirements, ensuring all field activities meet established safety protocols.
