Job Description

Role Overview

The Ritz-Carlton, a part of Marriott International, is seeking an HVAC Supervisor for its operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is essential for maintaining the hotel's facilities, ensuring high standards of guest service, and upholding operational efficiency in line with The Ritz-Carlton's "Gold Standards." Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment, recommending replacements as needed.
  • Calibrate all controls, gauges, and meters.
  • Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves within the facility.
  • Order, mark, and stock necessary parts and supplies, maintaining inventory and purchase order logs.
  • Inspect tools, equipment, and machines regularly.
  • Respond promptly to guest repair requests.

Safety and Systems Management

  • Complete life safety checklists, including fire-pump and generator run tests.
  • Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
  • Assist in the development of disaster response protocols.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
  • Complete required safety training and certifications.

Team Leadership and Operational Efficiency

  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
  • Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
  • Identify, recommend, develop, and implement new methods to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
  • Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: At least 2 years of supervisory experience.

Work Environment and Professional Conduct

  • Operate power lift and use computers for work-related information.
  • Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, ensuring confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs, and assisting individuals with disabilities.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
  • Perform physical tasks including visually inspecting tools/equipment, reaching overhead and below the knees (bending, twisting, pulling, stooping), moving/lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling/placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, grasping/turning/manipulating objects of varying size and weight, standing/sitting/walking for extended periods, and moving up and down stairs/service ramps.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
