Role Overview

The National Medical Care Company (Care) is seeking an experienced Inpatient Supervisor to join their team in Riyadh. This contract position requires a professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience. The Inpatient Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inpatient procedures, including patient admission and discharge, ensuring adherence to financial and administrative protocols. This role involves independent decision-making to resolve issues and plays a key part in managing patient eligibility for inpatient facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute all necessary financial and administrative procedures related to patient admission and discharge from the hospital.
• Monitor and manage approvals from various companies for inpatient services.
• Prepare all company bills for inpatients accurately and promptly.
• Maintain organized records and documents for all admitted and discharged inpatients in designated files.
• Conduct work in a professional manner, ensuring strict patient confidentiality at all times.
• Perform clerical duties inherent to the function, including patient scheduling and reception.
• Act as the Acting Head of Department in the absence of the Head, ensuring continuity of operations.
• Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned by the management.

Team Leadership and Development

• Supervise Admission Office staff, ensuring their compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
• Perform all managerial functions at the Unit level as established by management.
• Provide orientation to newly hired staff on policies and procedures pertaining to the work area, eligibility of treatment, and the Patient Care System.
• Assure proper on-the-job training of subordinates and encourage their continuous professional development and efficiency.

Quality and Compliance

• Ensure, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion, and understanding is provided to every patient served at NMC Hospitals and Clinics.
• Conduct admission and discharge activities in full compliance with JCI legal requirements, established practices, bylaws, and regulations.
• Adhere strictly to all Department policies and procedures.
• Participate in ongoing education programs developed by the department, including those related to Departmental Policy and Procedures, Fire Safety, Risk Management, and Environmental Control.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for the Inpatient Supervisor role must possess a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar inpatient supervisory or administrative capacity within a healthcare environment.
