Insurance Manager

About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Insurance & Contract Manager to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role primarily focuses on managing contractual matters for rail infrastructure projects, with a secondary focus on overseeing insurance-related activities. The ideal candidate will possess robust experience in contract management within the rail or infrastructure sector, complemented by a working knowledge of insurance principles relevant to large-scale engineering or transport projects.

Contract Management Responsibilities (Approx. 85%)

• Lead end-to-end contract management activities across rail projects, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and obligations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, including EPC, design & build, operations, and maintenance agreements.
• Monitor contractor performance against contractual KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Manage contract variations, claims, disputes, and change orders, ensuring risk mitigation and commercial protection.
• Provide contractual advice to project teams, procurement, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support tendering processes, including preparation and review of RFPs, bid evaluations, and contract award documentation.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements within the rail industry.
• Maintain proper documentation, contract registers, and reporting.

Insurance Management Responsibilities (Approx. 15%)

• Oversee implementation and maintenance of project insurance programs (*, CAR, third-party liability, professional indemnity).
• Coordinate with brokers, insurers, and internal stakeholders on policy placement, renewals, and claims management.
• Review contractual insurance requirements and ensure adequate coverage and compliance.
• Support risk assessments and ensure alignment between contractual obligations and insurance coverage.
• Manage insurance claims, ensuring timely reporting, documentation, and resolution.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong experience in contract management within the rail or infrastructure sector. This role requires a professional with a working knowledge of insurance principles relevant to large-scale engineering or transport projects.
