About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Interior Architect to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on developing, reviewing, and overseeing interior architectural solutions for a range of projects including refurbishment, rehabilitation, fit-out, and workplace enhancement. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, space planning, design coordination, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review interior architectural solutions, focusing on functionality, user experience, and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct space planning, workplace planning, and occupancy assessments.
  • Prepare and review interior layouts, space programs, and design concepts.
  • Analyze existing facilities to identify enhancement and optimization opportunities.
  • Support refurbishment, rehabilitation, and interior fit-out projects from concept to implementation.
  • Review and develop interior architecture packages, including material selections, finishes, and detailing.
  • Develop and review Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) recommendations and coordinate layouts.
  • Review architectural and interior design packages from consultants and project teams.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary coordination and design review meetings.
  • Undertake site inspections during fit-out and construction activities to monitor quality and compliance.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand project objectives and present design proposals and technical findings.
  • Prepare technical reports, assessment studies, and design review comments.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline. A Master's Degree is desirable.
  • Professional registration or membership with a recognized design or architectural institution is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in interior architecture and fit-out projects.
  • Proven experience in rehabilitation, refurbishment, workplace, commercial, cultural, public-sector, or institutional projects.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary design consultancies.
  • Middle East project experience is highly desirable.

Technical and Software Skills

  • Strong expertise in interior architecture, workplace planning, and space optimization.
  • Extensive knowledge of fit-out, rehabilitation, and refurbishment project delivery.
  • Sound understanding of building regulations, accessibility requirements, and industry standards.
  • Proven experience with FF&E coordination, material selection, and specification development.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
