About the Role

Al Rugaib Holding Company, a prominent contracting and construction firm, is seeking a full-time Interior Design Engineer (ID) to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to developing and reviewing interior design and fit-out solutions, ensuring the creation of high-quality interior spaces.

Role Purpose

The Interior Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings and material specifications, and for coordinating with various disciplines to deliver interior spaces that align with design intent, project specifications, and budget. The position requires a blend of creativity and technical skill to manage interior design aspects from concept to execution within a contracting and construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop interior design concepts, layouts, mood boards, and 3D visualizations in line with the design intent.
• Prepare and review detailed interior shop drawings, finishing schedules, and material specifications.
• Select and coordinate interior finishing materials, joinery, furniture, lighting, and fixtures.
• Review and ensure compliance of interior works with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Coordinate interior design with architectural, MEP, and structural disciplines to avoid conflicts.
• Prepare and review material submittals, samples, mock-ups, and technical reports.
• Supervise site execution of fit-out and finishing works to ensure quality and design compliance.
• Manage and coordinate with fit-out subcontractors and joinery/furniture suppliers.
• Monitor progress of interior works and ensure timely execution according to schedule.
• Support snagging, close-out, and handover of interior and fit-out works.

Required Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 10 years of experience in interior design engineering. This experience should be within a contracting and construction environment, demonstrating a proven ability to develop and oversee interior design and fit-out projects from concept through to completion.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role operates within the dynamic environment of a contracting and construction company, requiring both office-based design work and on-site supervision and coordination.
