About the Role

Unified Real Estate Development Company is seeking an Interior Designer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position reporting to the Lead Architect. The Interior Designer will be responsible for reviewing, commenting on, and following up with external design consultants regarding interior design (ID) elements across the company's residential apartment and hotel projects.

Role Purpose and Context

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that ID packages are technically sound, consistent with the company's brand, coordinated with architectural design, and delivered on schedule. The Interior Designer will serve as the in-house point of technical judgment on ID matters across multiple concurrent residential and hospitality projects, requiring 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and provide comments on ID consultant submissions, including concept, schematic, detailed design, and FF&E packages for residential apartments and hotel projects.
  • Follow up with designers to ensure comments are addressed and revisions are incorporated on schedule.
  • Coordinate the integration of ID design with architectural design, under the guidance of the Lead Architect.
  • Verify ID drawings and specifications for consistency with Unified Real Estate Development Company's brand and quality standards across all projects.
  • Identify and flag ID design decisions that may have implications on cost, program, or buildability.
  • Coordinate ID scope with architectural, MEP, and joinery/fit-out packages to prevent clashes and gaps.
  • Track the status of ID coordination across multiple concurrent residential and hotel projects.
  • Support clash detection and design coordination reviews for ID-related items.
  • Manage RFI responses from site concerning ID matters, in coordination with the Lead Architect.
  • Direct and follow up with external ID consultants and designers on deliverables, revisions, and quality expectations.
  • Review consultant ID submissions for technical quality, completeness, and compliance with the project brief.
  • Maintain ID drawing and document registers within Procore.
  • Review tenant and operator ID submissions (*, hotel operator fit-out standards) for compliance with company design guidelines.
  • Provide technical input on FF&E and fit-out specifications to ensure operational functionality.
  • Support design-stage feasibility input on ID scope, standards, and typical costs for new projects.
  • Execute other design-related tasks as assigned by the Lead Architect.

Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in interior design, preferably within residential and hospitality projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to review and coordinate complex interior design packages.
  • Experience working with external design consultants and managing deliverables.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves working on multiple concurrent residential apartment and hotel projects.
