Alfanar Projects is seeking an Internal Audit Associate - Corporate to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is open to candidates with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

As an Internal Audit Associate, you will be responsible for assessing and performing audits of the overall internal controls and systems, with a focus on evaluating the degree of risk facing Alfanar. This role requires efficient and timely execution of audit tasks, strict adherence to quality standards, and compliance with defined policies and procedures to support departmental operational plans and developments.

Core Audit Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying key risk areas during the planning of internal audit assignments and support the audit team in engagement planning activities.
• Help prepare engagement commencement letters and coordinate communication with process owners.
• Support the documentation of business processes, internal controls, and related applications, and assist in testing the effectiveness of internal controls under supervision.
• Participate in internal audit assignments using a risk-based approach and help implement audit programs to ensure proper coverage of identified risks.
• Contribute to ad hoc audit reviews based on reported or observed issues, and assist in reviewing new or updated systems, including pre-implementation reviews.
• Help conduct basic analysis of performance data to identify inefficiencies and support the review of performance metrics for identifying improvement opportunities.
• Assist in ongoing auditing activities by working with business intelligence (BI) tools and reports, and help track progress on agreed action plans, gathering relevant feedback from stakeholders.
• Contribute to drafting audit findings and reports under guidance, ensuring audit documentation is complete and well-organized, including planning materials and working papers.

• Obtain and maintain updated soft and technical skills relevant to the job.
• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules, utilizing resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
• Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and the execution of planned tasks.
• Solve any related problems that arise and escalate complex operational issues when necessary.
• Ensure quality requirements are met to develop effective quality control and processes, including specifications for products, processes, or related activities.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, and seek automation opportunities where possible to enhance business process improvements.
• Comply with all related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work activity.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in internal audit or a closely related field.
