About the Role

FNRCO is seeking an IT Asset & Configuration Management Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on managing IT assets, maintaining the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and ensuring compliance with established IT asset and configuration management policies. The specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, optimizing asset lifecycles, and ensuring software license compliance.

Role Overview

The IT Asset & Configuration Management Specialist will play a key role in the effective management of the organization's IT resources. This involves hands-on experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM), CMDB processes, IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms, and ITIL best practices. The position requires coordination with various internal teams and external vendors to support audits and ensure efficient IT resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management policies, procedures, and standards.
• Manage and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of Configuration Item (CI) records.
• Oversee the complete IT asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, allocation, maintenance, renewal, and disposal.
• Monitor hardware and software inventory and ensure asset records are up to date.
• Ensure software license compliance by tracking license usage, renewals, entitlements, and contractual obligations.
• Conduct regular asset reconciliations and support CMDB data quality reviews to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate asset registers, configuration records, license documentation, and compliance evidence.
• Coordinate with IT teams, procurement, finance, and vendors regarding asset procurement, warranties, software renewals, contracts, and support agreements.
• Identify opportunities to improve asset utilization, reduce unnecessary costs, and maximize the value of IT investments.
• Ensure IT asset and configuration management processes align with ITIL best practices and organizational governance requirements.
• Prepare reports and dashboards on asset inventory, lifecycle status, license compliance, and CMDB data quality.
• Collaborate with IT Service Management teams to ensure configuration information supports incident, problem, and change management processes.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in IT Asset Management or Configuration Management.
• Demonstrated experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM) and CMDB processes.
• Proficiency with IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms.
• Understanding and application of ITIL best practices.
