About the Role

TawanTech is seeking an IT Capacity Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time role involves establishing and maintaining an integrated view of IT capacity across various domains, including workforce, infrastructure, software licenses, cloud services, and Managed Services. The primary objective is to ensure that current and future capacity requirements are thoroughly understood before new technology commitments are made.

Role Purpose and Scope

The IT Capacity Manager combines capacity baselining, forecasting, demand validation, and optimization to proactively identify constraints. This enables informed prioritization, sourcing, and investment decisions within the IT landscape. The role requires close collaboration with Business and Internal IT Demand Managers, Service Leads, Infrastructure and Application teams, IT Finance, Procurement, HR, and external service providers to coordinate capacity information and translate it into clear management recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a consolidated view of total, allocated, committed, and available capacity across all IT domains.
  • Maintain visibility of available IT workforce capacity and critical skills essential for planning.
  • Define consistent capacity units, data standards, ownership, and update cycles.
  • Consolidate and validate capacity information from relevant teams, systems of record, the Configuration Management Database, and external providers.
  • Translate business and IT demand pipelines into short-, medium-, and long-term capacity requirements.
  • Develop capacity forecasts and scenarios for projects, transformation programs, technology roadmaps, and ongoing operations.
  • Perform and document capacity pre-checks for business and internal IT demand ahead of each prioritization cycle.
  • Identify capacity shortfalls, dependencies, sourcing requirements, and lead-time implications.
  • Monitor capacity utilization, forecast accuracy, data quality, and constraints.
  • Coordinate regular capacity reviews with Service Leads, capacity owners, and Managed Service Providers.
  • Coordinate with IT Asset Management to incorporate software license entitlements, consumption, and compliance risks into planning.
  • Recommend and coordinate the reallocation, scaling, sourcing, consolidation, or decommissioning of capacity.
  • Produce capacity dashboards and decision-oriented management recommendations.
  • Lead quarterly capacity re-planning, including backlog review and adjustment of capacity allocations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in IT capacity planning, technology operations, infrastructure governance, IT asset management, or resource planning.
  • Strong understanding of capacity baselining, forecasting, utilization analysis, and scenario modeling.
  • Experience in at least one capacity domain, such as workforce, infrastructure, software licenses, cloud services, or Managed Services.
  • Experience in software license entitlement or compliance management, preferably covering major enterprise technology vendors.
  • Ability to work across multiple IT domains in a complex transformation environment.
  • Experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated environment is preferred.
  • Experience in a complex multi-vendor or Managed Services environment is an advantage.

Technical Skills and Tools

  • Experience with ServiceNow ITAM, SPM, or comparable asset and planning solutions is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CMDB data and infrastructure monitoring, resource planning, or vendor reporting solutions.
  • Advanced Excel and data-analysis skills.
  • Experience with Power BI or comparable reporting tools is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of ITIL capacity and performance management principles is preferred.
