About the IT Network Specialist Role

WTTCO Water Transmission and Technologies Company is seeking an IT Network Specialist to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on the design, configuration, and optimization of enterprise-wide network infrastructure to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available connectivity across WTCO environments.

Core Responsibilities

The IT Network Specialist will be responsible for executing advanced network operations. This includes applying network configuration standards for consistent deployment of routing and switching protocols, conducting network assessments and performance checks to identify and resolve issues, and performing routine maintenance and upgrades on network devices to ensure optimal availability, security, and efficiency. The role also involves maintaining records of network architecture, including topology diagrams and component inventories.

Network Management and Optimization

Key duties include identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in systems, practices, cost optimization, and productivity. The specialist will assist in implementing disaster recovery configurations to ensure business continuity and verify redundancy settings and failover mechanisms between primary and secondary data routes. Analysis of network incident trends and reporting of recurring issues for long-term resolution planning are also integral to this role.

Collaboration and Security

This position requires close collaboration with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to secure network access and prevent unauthorized intrusions. The IT Network Specialist will also gather network usage data and performance metrics for planning and audit requirements, and submit configuration changes or upgrade proposals for new infrastructure rollouts. Presenting technical input during infrastructure projects involving network integration and cross-functional alignment is expected.

Compliance and Support

Ensuring work is performed based on approved policies, processes, procedures, and instructions is a fundamental aspect of the role. The IT Network Specialist must ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards within WTCO and related functions, including but not limited to Human Capital, Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Risk, and Cybersecurity. Support for the deployment of network equipment in new branches or business locations under defined IT guidelines is also required.

Problem Resolution

The IT Network Specialist is responsible for escalating problems to ensure cases and issues are closed efficiently and in a timely manner. This includes proactive identification of potential network disruptions and swift action to mitigate them, ensuring the overall stability and performance of the WTCO network infrastructure.
