The Role of IT Technical Support Officer

Riyadh Cables Group is seeking an IT Technical Support Officer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing essential technical support to end-users, maintaining IT systems, and assisting with network operations. The officer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of IT infrastructure and supporting various IT projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues to end-users.
• Respond to and resolve IT support tickets in a timely manner.
• Assist users with system errors, connectivity problems, and application malfunctions.
• Conduct remote or on-site troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Perform routine system checks, updates, and backups to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve potential issues.
• Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and security software.
• Maintain and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
• Create, manage, and deactivate user accounts in accordance with company policies.
• Assist with password resets and access control issues.
• Train users in the proper use of hardware, software, and IT resources.
• Assist with maintaining network hardware and configurations, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
• Troubleshoot basic network connectivity problems.
• Work with the network administrator to implement network changes and upgrades.
• Document technical issues, solutions, and resolutions for future reference.
• Maintain an updated inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
• Provide regular reports on system health and support activities.
• Assist with IT projects, including system migrations, hardware rollouts, and software implementations.
• Collaborate with team members to improve IT processes and user experience.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in IT technical support. The role requires a strong understanding of hardware, software, and network fundamentals, along with practical experience in troubleshooting and system maintenance.
