About the Role

IDOM Consulting, Engineering, Architecture is seeking a Junior Environmental Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to national and international projects within a multidisciplinary environment, gaining exposure to diverse businesses and technologies as part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

The Junior Environmental Engineer will contribute to a range of environmental and sustainability assignments. These will include, but are not limited to:

• Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), and Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA).
• Climate change related assignments, including mitigation strategies, risk assessment, and adaptation planning.
• Projects focused on combating desertification and promoting sustainable soil management.
• Work related to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks.
• Biodiversity conservation, natural capital assessment, and natural resources management.
• Waste and resource management initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Marine Science, Biology, Geology, or a related environmental and natural resource management field.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience if holding a Bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience if holding a Master's degree.
• Demonstrated interest and understanding of environmental and sustainability topics such as EIA, ESIA, SEA, climate change, desertification, soil management, ESG, biodiversity, natural capital, and waste management.
• The ability to work effectively within a team.
• A strong sense of technical rigor.
• An independent work ethic and an innovative mindset.
• An advanced level of English proficiency (C1).
• A strong eagerness to learn and develop within a multinational firm.
