Laundry Attendant

About the Role

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Laundry Attendant to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization within the laundry operations. The Laundry Attendant will report to the Laundry Supervisor and contribute to the overall success of housekeeping operations by ensuring proper processing and preparation of linens.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled guestroom and food & beverage linens, filling containers and preparing them for pick-up with accurate labeling.
• Identify and set aside misused or damaged linen for further investigation and reporting.
• Report any foreign articles found within the linen or chute area (*, glass, food, cutlery, needles) to the Supervisor immediately.
• Fold, roll, and organize clean towels, bathrobes, and room linens into containers for distribution by floor staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment at all times.
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment such as masks and gloves.
• Assist with washing towels and linens when required, following all guidelines for chemical handling and proper lifting techniques.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or potential health and safety hazards to the Supervisor promptly.
• Support other team members and assist with additional duties within the laundry area as needed.
• Attend training courses and professional development sessions provided by the Housekeeping and Human Resources departments.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Experience required: 0-1 year.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and efficiency in work.
• Ability to follow health and safety protocols consistently.
• Commitment to quality and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
